About
Esteban is 20 years of age. He is studying Communication Studies in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree as a St. Mary's University Honors Program Student and Research Scholar.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas in 2003, Esteban grew up around two specific things- news, and sports. Through reading, he also grew a love for creative writing.
Esteban is a graduate of Central Catholic High School in San Antonio. While a sophomore at the institution in 2020, Esteban became a student journalist for the student newspaper after being cut from the school's basketball team. He learned how to write, shoot, and edit content for the online publication. When the COVID-19 Pandemic struck, he learned to do the same remotely. In late 2020, Esteban became Lead Editor of the student publication, and in 2021, a member of the Quill and Scroll Honor Society, before he graduated Cum Laude from Central Catholic in May 2022.
During senior year, a newly-formed club at the school offered an internship with Texas Sports Productions to students interested in sports broadcasting. Esteban landed the role of the Play-by-Play voice of Central Catholic. This was the first year a newly-formed contract with Texas Sports Productions and San Antonio ABC Affiliate KSAT were in partnership to stream high school area sports via their Big Game Coverage and KSAT+ streaming apps.
Post graduation, Esteban was offered to keep pursuing his Play-by-Play duties part-time, covering multiple San Antonio-area schools and districts in football, basketball, baseball, and softball live streams- both in video and audio formats.
Esteban also acts as a fill-in Play-by-Play voice for his home St. Mary's Rattlers athletics teams as of 2022. All livestreams are in television formats, streamed through the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference Network (LSC) pay-per-view service.
In early 2023, Esteban began part-time content writing and weekend sports anchoring duties as a personality for Boerne Radio KBRN 103.9 FM and AM 1500 in Boerne, Texas. The less-than 2-minute update airs every hour on the :30s Mondays-Saturdays over-the-air, on BoerneRadio.com, and the Boerne Radio App.
Attached to his name, Esteban is also an Independent/Self-Published Author. He has written two books as of 2021- "Essential," which was written with the inspiration of the COVID-19 shutdown in the United States, and the roles of "essential workers" being the focus; The short novel is historical fiction. In 2022, Esteban self-published a children's book entitled "Dale the Moose," that follows original characters through a journey of realizing there is "no place like home."
In his free time, Esteban enjoys experiencing multiple sporting events live, running, writing, reading, and making connections with people in and out of his occupational field.
